Pam and David Russell have been in the baking business for over 30 years, opening their first Brumby’s store in Park Ridge in 1985 and second in Calamvale, the humble couple said they owe their success to Pam’s routines and David’s baking.
Brumby’s franchise partners Pam and David work together as a team, Pam manages the front of house and David does all of the baking.
“Owning and operating two bakeries can sometimes be challenging, which is why I have created a routine for everything,” Pam said.
“Routines help us manage consistency across our two stores, we have opening routines, closing routines, you name it we have a routine.
“David is a very passionate baker ensuring our product is always high quality and made with the best ingredients, you can definitely taste the love that he puts into our bread.”
Pam and David were recently chosen to be part of The Franchise Show, the latest business program on the national Seven Network, which provides an insight into their history and experience with the brand.
“We feel very honoured to be profiled on this show and had a lot of fun filming and telling our story,” Pam said.
Pam and David are also celebrating after entering Brumby’s Hall of Fame after many years of service to the brand, which came with a stack of dough – $4,000 to be exact!
“Pam and Russell have been with the brand for over 30 years and are very dedicated franchisees, so we are thrilled to be able to recognise their long-term service and commitment to the Brumby’s brand at our latest group franchise conference,” said David Dinnes, Brumby’s General Manager of Sales & Performance.
The 2016 Retail Food Group Connect Conference and Trade Show, which was held on the Gold Coast last month, brought together trade and franchise partners from across the organisation’s portfolio of brands.
“The Connect Conference was a great way for us to network with our fellow franchise partners and learn about new, exciting things happening within the Brumby’s brand,” Pam said.
