CARE is one of the largest non-religious and non-political overseas aid organisations in the world, working with communities in over 70 countries to fight poverty.

Brumby's is sponsoring the "Brumby's World Hunger Education Programme", which will run throughout October 2005 to coincide with the United Nations World Food Day, 16 October. More than 1000 schools across Australia and New Zealand will be taking part in this year's "Brumby's World Hunger Education Programme".

Throughout October, Brumby's stores in Australia and New Zealand will raise money to assist CARE in providing "hunger solutions" to the world's poor. A simple solution like a cow, a goat or a packet of seeds can help feed a family. Money thermometers in all Brumby's stores and on the World Hunger Campaign website will keep daily "hunger solution" tallies.
