Bread Care

With these four easy steps you'll be enjoying the freshest bread around

Store It
We recommend you don't put any bread in the fridge as the loaf can dry out. Breads should be stored at room temperature in a plastic bag or ventilated bread tin. Crusty breads are even better stored in a paper bag and eaten fresh on the day baked.

Freeze It
Freezing  our bread guarantees a supply of fresh bread on hand whenever you need it. Place bread in a plastic bag before freezing to prevent freezer burn. Frozen breads will keep for 3 to 4 months in the freezer.
To thaw, unwrap slightly and let sit at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours. For long term storage place in a freezer bag to avoid freezer burn.

Revive It
To revive, wrap your bread and place in a moderate oven for 15 minutes.

Slice It
Brumby's offers you the choice to have your bread sliced on demand in-store. You can have your bread sliced for toast (thick) or for sandwiches (thin). If slicing yourself at home, ensure you use a good serrated bread knife and sturdy breadboard. Cut your bread with gentle sawing motions.
When slicing a round loaf, follow the herringbone pattern shown above for best results.
