What do we get for our investment?

When joining Brumby's you will receive the "Brand", complete training, a fully operational store, a set of manuals developed over 25 years, head office support with business management assistance and advice and access to comprehensive national and local marketing programs.

Do I require any special experience?

Having business experience is always an advantage but with our franchise training of 12 weeks (Business and Baking) and 4 weeks (retail and business) we provide comprehensive training for all areas of your store.

What sort of person makes a good franchisee?

The characteristics that make a person a good franchisee are that they are prepared to follow the Brumby's system, are self motivated, are capable of managing staff and have a good sense of humour.

How long do franchisees stay in the system?

As an average franchisees usually stay in the system for five years or more.

How does owning a retail bakery affect my lifestyle and family?

Although running your own Brumby's bakery requires hard work and determination, you are completely in charge of your own time. It can also provide family security to pay for an improved lifestyle however it does require family support.

Do I need to know how to market in my own area?

A fully functional local marketing intranet site is available for all franchisees to use to market in their own area. National office support is also available to help you with selection of promotions to complement your demographic.

Do Brumby's select the site or can I have input into site selection?

Yes franchisees can have input into site selection but ultimately it must be in consultation with Brumby's Bakeries.

How long does the process take from initial application to end of training?

A minimum of 16 weeks is a typical timeframe for a new franchisee to be approved, fully trained and ready to open a Brumby's store.
